Fantastic frogs-Desert rain frog

Have you ever heard a frog chirp before? Well if you haven't look up desert rain frog.

The desert rain frog can be found in Namibia and in
South Africa. Its natural habitat are the narrow stripe of sandy shores between the sea and the sand dunes. It's threatened by habitat loss.

The desert rain frog is a small, plump species with bulging eyes, a short snout, short limbs, spade-like feet and webbed toes. On the underside it has a transparent area of skin through which its internal organs can be seen. Its colour is a yellowish-brown and it often has sand adhering to its skin.

The desert rain frog is endemic to a coastal strip land about 10 kilometres (6.2miles) wide in Namibia and in South Africa. The desert rain frogs diet is made up of crickets, sand flies and mosquitoes.

A desert rain frog is the cutest and most camouflage amphibian in the world. If you ever go to Namibia or South Africa visit the coast and try to find one of these little things.
